Synopsis:
Pianist Lara Glanz (Rosalie Thomass) returns to her hometown shortly after her niece Magda has disappeared. Lara takes a job as a teacher and begins to search for the girl on her own. The circumstances of Magda's disappearance seem more and more mysterious, as other incidents and inhabitants of the sleepy village also puzzle Lara. Soon, she finds herself confronted with forces that do not seem to come from this world. Lara finds allies in the esoterically gifted Dorothea Freiberg (Sabine Vitua) and the odd Professor Rudolf Klein (Peter Franke). At first, the three have no idea what forces they will have to face, but then it becomes clear: Lara herself plays a central role in this mystery.
