SYNOPSIS

Since the middle of the 1990s, an event has been all the rage in the heartlands of the USA where unemployment is high and the outlook fort he future is particularly dour: The Original Toughman Contest. The documentary deals with people who want to break out of their every day life, looking for a second chance for a better life, using nothing more than their own fists. At the same time, it delves into America far from the glitzy glamour, where the soul of the world’s most powerful nation is defined.
