LOLA fOR CIRCUS BOY

ZIRKUSKIND (Circus Boy) received the German Film Award for “Best Children Movie” at the Deutscher Filmpreis 2026 . A special honor, considering “Circus Boy” is a documentary feature aimed at young audiences.

It has been the fourth Lola-Nomination for FLARE FILM, after the documentary features “Forget me not” (2013) and “Walchensee forever” (2021), as well as “One of These Days” (for best cinematography) in 2021, and FLARE´s first win.

Congratulations go to Directors Anna Koch and Julia Lemke, producer Katharina Bergfeld, producer Martin Heisler,

the commissioning editors of the co-producing broadcasters, Tanja Nahdig (HR), Nicole Schneider (MDR), Claudia Schwab (SWR),

and the funding institutions “Initiative “Der Besondere Kinderfilm””, Der Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien, Stiftung Kuratorium junger deutscher Film, Deutscher Filmförderfonds, Hessen Film & Medien.
